Implant dentists and dental technicians are very impressed with the latest innovation in digital prosthetics.

The new technology from DENTSPLY Implants provides implant-supported CAD/CAM bars for partial or complete, fixed or removable prostheses. The state-of-the-art suprastructures are milled from titanium or cobalt chrome todeliver a precise and tension-free fit.  Mark Willings of Horbury Dental Care and Implant Clinic explains, “ATLANTIS ISUS is truly revolutionary.  It is much lighter and a dream to work with.  The accuracy is second to none, which gives me confidence of achieving absolute certainty of fit.”

Both dental technicians and practitioners are amazed by the combination of clinical efficacy and patient convenience provided by ATLANTIS ISUS.  Ashley Byrne, managing director of Byrnes Dental Laboratory enthuses, “Every CAD/CAM suprastructure we have had back has been stunning.  Patients are thrilled with the result.”  Peter Sanders of Dental Confidence, agrees, “It definitely has the wow factor. The metalwork is fantastic.  On each occasion the fit has been perfect and the patients were very happy with the result.”

The system saves laboratory costs, on both labour and materials.  Steve Campbell, managing director of Ambridge Ceramics says, “ATLANTIS ISUS is a genuine win-win.  It offers time savings for the laboratory, a superior result for the implant dentist, and restorations with no compromises for the patient.  The price of a completed ATLANTIS suprastructure is less than the cost of the abutments alone to manufacture the bar ourselves.”

Ashley Byrne believes it is rare for cutting edge technology to help reduce costs, but with ATLANTIS ISUS he can “make savings of up to 50 percent, compared to conventional techniques.  Everybody wins – the technician, the implant dentist and the patient.”

Best prosthetic and aesthetic outcome

The ATLANTIS web order facility provides 24/7 online processing, with a rapid turnaround enabling delivery within one week.  Steve Campbell explains, “we just put the model and our design requirements in a box and send it off for the proposition to be made.  This leaves our skilled technicians free to concentrate on getting the set-up right and delivering the best prosthetic and aesthetic outcome for the patient.”

ATLANTIS ISUS Options

  • ATLANTIS ISUS Bridge – full anatomical base for ceramic or composite layering techniques
  • ATLANTIS ISUS Hybrid – surface with retention elements that can be finished with denture resin and custom teeth

Removable:

  • ATLANTIS ISUS 2in1.primary suprastructures with friction-retained secondary suprastructures
  •  ATLANTIS ISUS Bar – standard or custom-shaped suprastructures with various attachment options

Ashley Byrne finds that ATLANTIS ISUS offers, “total flexibility and control. I can design almost any type of bar or combination that I want.  This enables me to deal with a wider range of complex cases.  The state-of-the-art system provides guaranteed precision for the implant dentist.”

Mark Willings adds, “ATLANTIS ISUS does not require several attempts to get it right.  Unlike with conventional bridges and bars made by casting, I have found no need for splitting and rewelding to achieve passivity.  We have not seen any spring in the beams, or encountered any stresses or fractures.  It is definitely the way forward.”

The ATLANTIS ISUS system is proving popular with implant dentists and dental technicians throughout the UK.  The new technology is enabling practitioners to provide state-of-the-art, cost-effective, flexible solutions for their patients, quickly and conveniently.  Laboratories can deal with a wider range of complex cases, whilst making savings on both time and expense.
