The Dental Directory, one of the largest providers of dental supplies in the UK, has appointed seven new members to its northern sales team to bring the total to eleven as the firm invests in a network of business consultants to provide additional value and tailored service to its customers.
The additions to the northern sales team will help manage one of the business’ largest sales territories which stretches from the Scottish border right down the country to the north of Wales.
Rather than being appointed as sales representatives – which is the norm within the industry – The Dental Directory has expanded the brief for each member of the team under the banner of business consultant.
Steve Brown, regional sales manager of the north of England for The Dental Directory, adds: “The role of our sales team isn’t to purely sell; its purpose is to add customer value through delivering second to none advice, sharing industry insight and enabling access to the widest range of products, services and lucrative markets, such as facial aesthetics.
“This ethos is demonstrated in the change in role from sales representative to business consultant and how we’ve recruited for the new members of the northern team - for example, one of our newest recruits is an experienced dental nurse, another was a practice manager and a third has worked with some of largest manufacturers in the dental industry. Their experience and understanding of the industry is invaluable and our clients are already reaping the benefits.”
