The founder of Tipton Training has been awarded a new honorary title following his appointment as programme leader for the City of London Dental School’s new MClintDent modules in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry.

Paul Tipton will now work under the title ‘visiting professor’ and assist the faculty in delivering one of six postgraduate dental programmes at BPP University.

This follows the announcement that students who have completed a one year Tipton Training course and passed the relevant BARD examinations will receive credits for relevant theoretical modules from the City of London Dental School’s MClinDent programme.

The masters degree is a clinically-based qualification that is suitable for candidates looking to make strides within clinical practice.

Prospective students can decide whether to undertake the degree on a full-time or part-time basis over the course of three years.

Speaking of his appointment , Professor Paul Tipton said: “To be invited to lead the City of London Dental School’s MClinDent programme in Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry is an absolute privilege for me. I’ve dedicated my entire career to developing the knowledge and skills so as to teach the latest generation of young and not so young dentists so I’m very much looking forward to starting my work in 2014.”

“I’m also hoping to see many familiar faces from Tipton Training who have passed the relevant BARD exams , as our new educational partnership with the City of London Dental School gives delegates credits for relevant theoretical modules within the masters course.”

Tipton Training has bolstered the knowledge over 3,000 dental professionals within the fields of restorative, implant and cosmetic dentistry through a variety of course formats. These include post-graduate, corporate, one-to-one, one day and international courses.

Each course offers delegates practical training, combined with theoretical lectures and seminars, all under the direct supervision of qualified and highly skilled specialists.

The academy has also introduced a programme of web-based learning for dental professionals looking for a more flexible way of getting the knowledge they need to succeed.
