If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to whizz round the Olympic velodrome like Laura Trott or Jason Kenny, Bridge2Aid’s latest fundraiser gives you the chance to see for yourself.

Organised by dentist Ben Molyneux for Bridge2Aid, Velodent is an event for cyclists of all abilities from the dental world, combining CPD with a unique opportunity to have some fun and try something new.  If you’re not into cycling, it’s a chance to listen to some inspirational lectures and hang out in one of the UK’s finest examples of architectural design.

Taking place on September 29, at the Velodrome at London’s Olympic Park, participants of all cycling abilities will have the chance to take a one-hour taster session with a qualified track coach or, for the ultra-competitive, enter a 200m time trial knock-out competition.  The day also includes talks on Delivering Digital Dentistry 2017-2027 and a four-hour lecture series of verifiable CPD examining the changing future of dentistry – a subject that will be of interest to dental professionals in all disciplines.

Bridge2Aid is a charitable organisation that sends volunteers from the UK dental community to the developing world to train health workers in the provision of emergency dental care.  By tackling oral healthcare they help to eliminate pain, disease and infection, allowing people to continue with their daily lives and avoid the poverty trap.
