Twelve dentists have been announced as international fellows

03 July 2024

At its annual meeting in Cyprus, the International College of Dentists (ICD) has announced the appointment of 12 fellows from across England, Scotland and Wales.

The ICD has been honouring the world’s leading dentists since 1920, with over 12,000 members designated fellows in more than 140 countries.

Fellowship in the college is by invitation only and is granted in recognition of an individual dentist’s outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind.  Before being recognised as a fellow of the ICD, the candidate’s qualifications and achievements are evaluated by a series of credential committees in order to ensure that the individual is deserving of this honour and will live up to the ICD motto of “Recognising service as well as the opportunity to serve”.

Twelve fellows were inducted into the International College of Dentists at the annual meeting of the European Section of the College in Limassol, Cyprus. They were introduced to the president of the European section, Dov Sydney, but the vice regent of the District of England, Scotland and Wales, Roy Morris. The induction ceremony included 51 fellows in total being inducted into the college from the 16 districts that constitute the European Section.
