The programme is likely to be of most interest to low submitting Invisalign Providers who have submitted fewer than twenty cases requiring minor tooth movement, who may benefit from additional support to get them up to speed and treating with confidence. It will also help them assess whether they are able to treat a case themselves or whether they should be referring their patient to an orthodontic specialist.
There are two products in the Invisalign portfolio specifically designed for minor tooth movement which are therefore most applicable for General Dentists; Invisalign Lite where treatment time is limited to seven months (14 aligners) and Invisalign i7 which can achieve results patients are looking for in as little as three months, without the inconvenience of traditional fixed braces. These two products are ideally suited to patients with minor malocclusions or those who have undergone orthodontic treatment in the past and have lapsed because of infrequent retainer wear.
The new Invisalign Lite Confidence Programme launches on April 9 and between then and the end of the year participating General Dentists will be granted direct access to a team of Treatment Planning Service Consultants who have carried out over 50,000 ClinChecks. The Consultants will help them evaluate their cases and decide whether they could best be suited to treatment with Invisalign Lite.
Initially the GDP is only required to submit photographs of the case they want to treat with Invisalign Lite and one of the Treatment Planning Service Consultants will provide them with confirmation of its suitability. On receipt of their confirmation, the GDP then follows the standard protocol; taking impressions; filling out the prescription form; and submitting the treatment plan to get an initial ClinCheck. Once their initial ClinCheck is received, the GDP can contact the Consultants to discuss the proposed treatment plan and raise any concerns or questions. Once the GDP is comfortable with the final reviewed ClinCheck they approve it and can embark on the treatment confident in the knowledge that it has been thoroughly planned.
The GDP has access to the Treatment Planning Service Consultants by telephone and email throughout the process and can also tap into the knowledge of the Invisalign Customer Care Team. Excitingly Align Technology has also started a new team of dedicated Sales Specialists who are being specifically tasked with helping General Dentists access the new programme and support them as they grow in their Invisalign expertise.
Align Technology is holding an event on 11 June 2014 in London to roll out the Invisalign Lite Confidence Programme (and later in the year in the North of England). With the aim of Treating With Confidence, the event is open to General Dentists who will be able to find out at first-hand how the programme works and how it could help them. The seminar will also help GDPs understand the business benefits of offering Invisalign treatments for their patients requiring minor tooth movements. Applications to attend the event open in May and booking details will be published nearer the time.
The Invisalign Lite Confidence Programme runs from April 9until December 312014. For participants of the programme, Invisalign Lite costs £900 per case and includes the support of the Treatment Planning Service Consultants. For more information please visit www.invisalign.co.uk
