Henry Schein UK Holdings’ successful approaches to teamwork have been recognised with a re-accreditation of the Investors in People (IiP) standard.

The company first achieved the IiP status in 1998 and has maintained accreditation since. Henry Schein recognises that to be the number one company, its team members are key, and greatly invested in training and development, ensuring their team have the knowledge and skills to deliver best service.

Team Schein members who have moved from role to role, or from department to department, whilst taking on greater responsibility, described how Henry Schein recognises and rewards initiative and the desire to progress.  One team member commented,  “Access to training is always a topic, and if there’s anything you’re unsure of or not confident in, you can ask. They want us to be the best and you have to have the knowledge.”

As part of their approach to developing personnel, the company actively engages Team Schein members in the Henry Schein Cares programmes. This global social responsibility programme recognises there is inequality in the delivery of healthcare services and information to underserved, and at risk, communities around the world, and seeks to narrow this gap.

Working alongside customers and suppliers, Team Schein members annually volunteer thousands of personal hours to charity work. Henry Schein invests in their team to help them reach their fullest potential through emphasis on wellness, training, diversity, and respect for the dignity of the individual.
