BAAD is synonymous with high quality and inspirational events and their latest study club did not fail to deliver.
Entitled Intelligent Dental Solutions, the morning was started off by Ian Buckle who gave an excellent talk on occlusion within cosmetically focused orthodontics covering a full range of cases from the simple to full mouth rehabilitations. This was followed by Arturo Imbelloni of Italy, who gave two thoroughly insightful presentations. The first covered the use of orthodontics to improve and enhance the final outcome and the second focused on minimally invasive techniques with a particular emphasis on additive restorations including mini veneers. Both presenters were of the highest quality with something for delegates of all levels of expertise.
The final presentation of the day was given by Julian Caplan who gave an excellent presentation on the latest evolution of the Cerec system and what was possible from aesthetic single restorations to complex treatments and smile enhancements with multiple units.
All presentations were followed with discussion and question time which was just as thought provoking and informative as the presentations themselves. You could not help but come away from the day feeling inspired.
The event was also well supported by the trade with stands from Coltene, Smile Imaging and Portman Healthcare.
The next study club promises to be another exceptional day. It is being held on September 11, 2015, at the Crowne Plaza Marlow and is entitled ‘Aspects of Contemporary Periodontology’.
