With the large array of electric toothbrush designs available, dental professionals understandably want to determine which options provide the most effective outcomes for their patients.

Oral-B electric toothbrushes lead the way in clinical research, with over 225 studies and 140 clinicals supporting both the products efficacy and safety.  Indeed, the most recent clinical research published in the American Journal of Dentistry, has reinforced the efficacy of Oral-B’s oscillating-rotating electric toothbrushes.  When compared with other brands of electric toothbrush, the Oral-B Triumph (oscillating-rotating) was found to reduce the number of bleeding sites by more than 34 per cent and there was also a 30 per cent greater reduction in gum line plaque.

Clinically then, professionals can recommend the Oral-B Triumph with confidence, but what about patient perception?  Following the clinical, researchers conducted a patient perception assessment and asked all patients to rate the two brushes.  The Oral-B Triumph had the higher rating so that those who did prefer it expressed a higher intent to recommend it to others.

Practitioners can be confident that when recommending the Oral-B Triumph that they’re recommending a product that really does provide optimum performance in plaque and gingivitis reduction, so the brushing efforts of patients can be rewarded with improved oral health.  Whilst check-ups are important to monitor a patient’s health, it’s imperative that they keep up the good work between appointments.  No wonder then that more dental professional in the world both use and recommend the Oral-B power brush.
