Queensway Orthodontics has partnered with Kidscape – a bullying prevention charity working with children in England and Wales.
Members of the team will be fundraising and training as Kidscape community leaders so that they can identify and signpost children/families impacted by bullying. They are also campaigning to improve children’s self-esteem by encouraging them to be proud of themselves and kind towards others.
Guy Deeming, specialist orthodontist and managing partner of Queensway Orthodontics, comments, “We have seen how orthodontics improves patients’ confidence. To provide additional support to young people and families struggling with a lack of confidence or bullying, was an obvious progression. At the heart of our unique partnership with Kidscape is our desire to look after the whole person – not just teeth.”
Lauren Seager-Smith, CEO of Kidscape said, “We all have a role to play in building caring communities that keep children safe from bullying. We are thrilled to work with Queensway Orthodontics to help children grow in confidence and to reach more families who may have concerns about bullying.”
