2014 has proved to be a pivotal year for Portman Dental with the group continuing to grow, and being joined by some outstanding clinicians, including Philip Bennett, past President of the Association of Dental Implantology.

By focussing on quality not quantity Portman Dental has grown to 27 practices, and is proudly positioned as the first choice for clinicians focussed on delivering private dentistry.

If you ask a member of Portman Dental what it’s like to work in a corporate you may be surprised by the response. The group, headed by CEO Sam Waley-Cohen, prides itself on focussing on continuity, patient care and the importance of allowing practices to make local decisions, both clinically and operationally.

“Many of our practice principals want to secure the future of the practice for their teams and give themselves an exit strategy. At Portman Dental we are building a business based on quality and, as such, both Portman and practices joining the group have to share this ethos.’

‘We will only buy practices which we are proud to have as part of the group.” said Sam. “By joining Portman, much of the practice remains the same, but the future is secure and our central team takes away the strain of running your own business.”

“In 2015, we plan to grow both organically and through acquisition,” added Gary Chapman, Head of Mergers and Acquisitions. “We have lots of exciting plans for the forthcoming year and are keen to hear from practices who would like to discuss their future.”
