Queensway Orthodontics is one of the first orthodontic practices in the UK to receive the Dental CSR Gold Accreditation.
What does this mean?
It is recognition and validation of the business’ commitment to improving the lives of staff, supporting the local community, and reducing its impact on the planet.
As part of the Queensway Cares Commitments, the business aims to empower and support every team member, promoting their health and wellbeing at any opportunity. It also dedicates profits from oral hygiene product sales to charitable causes, such as local food banks and anti-bullying charity, Kidscape, to help the wider community.
Plus, the business is leading the way in sustainability within dentistry and beyond. Their collaboration with TerraCycle UK enables the recycling of Invisalign aligners and retainers. Working with rePurpose Global, Queensway Orthodontics have already saved 30 tonnes of otherwise ocean-bound plastic waste – that's 40kg of plastic waste for every Invisalign patient treated!
Guy Deeming, specialist orthodontist and partner of Queensway Orthodontics, says, “I’m incredibly proud and incredibly grateful to all our team and our patients for choosing to make changes and help us reduce plastic waste. It’s also amazing to engage with, and help, our local community, with Kidscape and other charities there to support them. Our CSR Gold Accreditation is just the start. It’s exciting to think what the future might hold for our efforts as we move away from just straightening teeth, to make the world a slightly better place.”
