Callum Youngson, a professor, chair of the dental board and member of the council at Medical Protection Society (MPS), has received an MBE for services to dental education in the King’s birthday honours.

Callum has been involved in dental education for thirty years and was appointed professor of restorative dentistry at the University of Liverpool in 2004. More recently, he worked as the associate pro-vice chancellor for education in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at the University of Liverpool.

Karen Miller, chief executive of MPS, said, “I am delighted that Callum’s long dedication to dental education has been recognised with an MBE. Dental Protection and the wider MPS are fortunate to have his input as chair of the Dental Board and as a member of MPS Council. My congratulations also go to all the dentists and doctors recognised in the honours list for their valuable service.”
