A Norfolk preschool has received a ‘healthy smiles’ accreditation for teaching its pupils about the importance of oral hygiene.
Worstead Preschool was given accreditation by Norfolk and Waveney Community Dental Services.
In an interview with North Norfolk News, Bethany Pilkington, preschool deputy manager, said, "With the limited resources that Norfolk has regarding NHS dentists, we decided that we need to promote and teach our children good oral health.
“Our children start with us from the age of two, so adding this to part of our daily routine is important.
“The children are learning how to keep our teeth healthy by brushing their teeth after snack at preschool then cleaning their brush and putting it away independently.
"We promote to the children good tooth-brushing techniques and the importance of a good, balanced diet.”
