An Exmouth practice has launched a toothbrush recycling point in an effort to be more environmentally friendly.
Bicton Place Dental Practice has become an official drop-off point for The Philips Dental Care Free Recycling Programme.
The programme recycles most dental hygiene items, including manual toothbrushes, dental floss containers, flossing sticks, interdental brushes, electric toothbrush heads and covers and electric flosser nozzles.
In a comment to the Exmouth Journal, Oskar Mason, the practice owner, said, “We are really pleased to have been accepted on to this programme and would encourage all local residents to get involved. Dentistry often relies on single-use items, and it is great that Philips and TerraCycle are encouraging practices and the public to recycle in this way”.
