Anyone may nominate – all nominations must be on the official nomination form and all nominations must reach the chief executive by close of business on February 13 2015. The person nominated should be a Registered Dental Nurse, although other registered Dental Care Professionals or dentists will be considered in exceptional circumstances.
The Award is for an outstanding contribution to the dental nursing profession; which should have had a notable impact nationwide (either UK-wide, or across one of the home countries, e.g. England, Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland), have been to the benefit of the dental nursing profession and have been outside the remit of the nominee’s paid employment.
BADN president Fiona Ellwood said “This is a prestigious award to be bestowed upon a dental nurse (or registrant), who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make a difference to the dental nursing profession. There are many dental nurses out there who are unsung heroes and who should be recognised for their efforts and tireless work.”
The Guidelines for nominating and the nomination form are available at the BADN website http://badn.org.uk/2015-outstanding-contribution-award.
