In presenting the Award, BADN President Fiona Ellwood paid tribute to Emma’s work with Macmillan as the UK’s only Macmillan Oral Health Practitioner and her continuing interest in educating all healthcare professionals on how oral health can impact on the physical and mental well-being of patients, particularly those in the oncology environment.
“I should like to congratulate Emma on receiving this year’s BADN Award” said Fiona after the Dinner “as well as all the other recipients. I am particularly delighted that four other dental nurses also received awards here tonight at the BDA Honours and Awards Dinner.”
