Taking place on April 26-28, 2018, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, ‘The future of the art of implant dentistry’ will offer participants an outlook of implant dentistry and related fields along with sessions completely dedicated to digital workflow and ceramic implants. There will also be additional scientific and practical findings presented about surgical and prosthetic concepts.
Diverse program
The time-proven, and usually rapidly sold-out, practical workshops will take place on Thursday, April 26, 2018. Renowned speakers will use theory and practical exercises to teach small groups concepts on current topics such as 3D planning, digital workflow, treatment concepts for peri-implant complications and much more.
In addition, young and aspiring scientists and practitioners will be offered a broader platform. Participation in the poster competition is open to all interested parties; the authors of five selected posters will receive the opportunity to present their work in a short presentation in the main plenum. Considered for the presentations will be poster authors who speak English fluently.
Treatment complications
The two-day conference will conclude with an emerging and provocative topic: ‘Complications – What can we learn from them?’ An expert round-table will discuss complex patient cases and present and evaluate solutions. The audience will also play an important role in this round-table. Questions or statements can be directed to the speakers at any time.
Interactivity and networking
A symposium app will be created that will offer all participants the opportunity to play an active part and communicate with each other. Even ahead of the symposium, attendees can receive lots of useful information to set up their personal conference environment. During the symposium, the app can be used to ask questions or for personal statements. Besides the scientific program, participants can also experience the simultaneously celebrated Dutch national holiday of King’s Day on April 27 and sign up for a colorful cultural program and a party in the Laurenskerk, the only medieval vestige still to be found in Rotterdam.
