Nominate a smile: Give something back to someone who's gone the extra mile!

When you hear the word ‘hero’ who comes to mind? When you hear the word ‘friend’, is there someone who instantly pops into your head? When you’ve been through a hard time, has somebody been there for you through it all? If so, you should consider nominating them for this year’s Nominate a Smile competition.

During National Smile Month, the Oral Health Foundation will pick one special person and award them with a prize. All you have to do is nominate them and tell us why they deserve to win.

If you are wondering what it takes to be chosen as one of our faces of National Smile Month, look no further than Dery Tuopar, one of last year’s winners. Dery, a surgeon at Northampton General Hospital, inspired colleagues through his wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for helping others. 

Out of work, Dery’s passion for improving oral health didn’t cease where he carried out charity work in dentistry back in his hometown of Ghana. He also carried out charitable work in other countries, helping those less fortunate out of pain and on the road to better oral health.
