Ian Hughes has owned the practice since 1994 and it was brought to market to enable Ian to start his retirement plan. He will be remaining at the practice as an associate in the immediate future.
Pinfold Dental Practice is a long-standing, predominantly NHS practice with three surgeries. Situated in a residential area in Hattersley near Hyde, the practice benefits from a far-reaching patient catchment.
Jonathan Watson, director of dental at Christie & Co, said, “I am really pleased for Ian who was able to complete the sale almost exactly 30 years after he purchased the practice.”
Following a confidential sales process with Jonathan, the practice has been purchased by existing operators, Azffar Din and Elina Zaman, who own another practice in the region.
Azffar commented, “Ian has not only provided a smooth transition but has created and developed a well-run practice with a great backbone. He will always have a place here.”
Jonathan added, “The buyers moved quickly and agreed a deal just three weeks after the launch date, further evidencing the strong appetite from independent buyers for NHS practices.”
