National Award for Dental Students

Two dental students from the Peninsula Dental School have won a prestigious professional award from the British Dental Trade Association (BDTA).

Year four student Emma Louise Kateb and Matthew Hemming, (who qualified as a dentist from the Peninsula Dental School in the summer), won the national Dentistry in a Decade competition with their essay on the lessons learnt from the national Adult Dental Health Survey.The essay discussed whether or not the needs of modern dentistry are developing faster than associated research and policy decisions.
