Showcased as a master class, Align technology recently announced the release of Invisalign G5 as the newest addition specifically for treating deep bite malocclusions.

The master class held at London’s Altitude 360 in Millbank Tower with fantastic views across London was led by Sam Daher, a leading orthodontist from Canada and Dai Roberts-Harry, a specialist in orthodontists.

Jamie Morley, general manager for Invisalign in the UK and Ireland said “We continue to invest in the technology and the G5 is the next step.”

Dai Roberts-Harry began the lecture by explaining the importance of correcting deep bite malocclusion and how this can be undertaken.  He used case studies to demonstrate how he has amended deep bite over the past 10 years and the dramatic improvements it can make.

He says “it’s amazing what straight teeth can do for the appearance,” and this is why the new G5 innovation is so important because it is specifically for deep bite whereas before users would have to manipulate Invisalign.

Next Sam Daher continued the lecture by saying how proud he is to be a part of the innvovation improvements for Invisalign.  Sam talks about how the G5 has evolved into what it is today with the use of Smartforce.

After the lunch session delegates had the opportunity to undertake three 20 minute break out sessions on ClinCheck plans, treatment evaluations and prescription forms.

During the master class it was announced that there will be an event on June 11th to promote the latest Invisalign Lite Confidence Programme. The programme is designed for dentists who are not confident in choosing which Invisalign system to use for a particular case. Users of Invisalign will be able to send photos of patients to a support team who will advise which aligner to use.  It will help users learn and act as a support system as well as saving time.
