The announcement was made at the Annual General Meeting of the BDA, which was held as part of the 2013 British Dental Conference and Exhibition at London’s ExCeL.

Martin Fallowfield, the Chair of the BDA’s Principal Executive Committee, said:

“We are delighted to announce the recipients of the BDA’s honours and awards for 2013. These ten individuals have in common a passion for, and dedication to, the advancement of dentistry and dental professionals.

“For the first time we are announcing the awards at the British Dental Conference and Exhibition, where the recipients will be able to celebrate amongst thousands of members of the dental family whose lives they have enhanced by their efforts.

“Our congratulations and warm thanks go to each of the ten individuals being recognised.”
