Health company appoints general manager

Haleon has appointed Jo Cooper as the general manager for the UK and Ireland (UK&I), from January 1, 2025.

With 10 years’ experience in senior leadership positions across sales and commercial roles in the consumer healthcare industry, Jo has a strong track record in accelerating business growth across several international markets.

Jo commented, “I am thrilled to take on the role of leading Haleon’s UK and Ireland business, my home market. Having experienced first-hand the exceptional talent and dedication within the UK and Ireland team and Northern Europe business unit, I am eager to collaborate and drive the next level of growth together, continuing to develop our vision for delivering consumer-first healthcare. I’m proud to be part of Haleon and am looking forward to this exciting new chapter.”

Prior to her appointment as general manager (UK&I), she held the position of head of commercial excellence for Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Latin America (EMEA&LATAM) regions at Haleon for over three years.

In her role as head of commercial excellence (EMEA&LATAM), she was responsible for revenue growth strategy, category management, shopper marketing, and retail partner leadership across Haleon’s multi-brand portfolio. She also led the Global Net Revenue Management Acceleration Programme, working closely with digital and tech teams.

Jo started her career with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK), joining as pharmacy and field director in 2013. She held several positions at the company, including grocery and digital commerce sales director and commercial excellence director, before joining Haleon in 2021 as part of the de-merger.
