Hampshire dental student Chrissie Warden has been crowned as a winner of top smile competition Nominate A Smile – a UK-wide search to find special individuals who deserve recognition for their impact in the community as part of National Smile Month.

Dental radiography student Chrissie, aged 25 and from Clanfield, was selected by campaign organisers, the Oral Health Foundation, because of her beaming smile and passion to provide the best care for her patients.

Chrissie, who has also recently qualified as a dental nurse and works at Waterlooville Orthodontic Practice on Stakes Hill Road in Waterlooville, was nominated for the award by her colleague Jennifer Hutchings.

Speaking of her colleague and friend, Jennifer said, “I wanted to nominate Chrissie because she has the most infectious smile and always manages to bring joy to others, even on the gloomy days at work!

“She is always smiling and lifting the spirits of those around her, whether it’s the people she works with or the patients that walk through the door of our practice.”

In her nomination, Jennifer talks fondly about how Chrissie has been a reassuring presence at their practice since she started, “Colleagues have always said that she’s got an infectious smile that lights up the room, which makes her fun to work with.
