In an evaluation of Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill, it received a 97 per cent clinical rating after 31 consultants used the product to place 746 restorations.
61 per cent of the people who evaluated the composite said it’s better than the bulkfilling product than they currently use; 32 per cent rated it just as good; 80 per cent would switch to using Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill; and 94 per cent would recommend it.
Comments from the evaluation noted that Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill shows very good handling properties for filling posterior teeth. Consultants also found a reduction in treatment time when using the product, as it can be cured in layers of up to four mm, so most of the cavities require only one composite increment.
Others said the composite is easy to adapt to cavity walls and to contour; the three shades of Tetric EvoCeram Bulk Fill are adequate for use in posterior dentition; and the material adjusts to the appearance of natural enamel, due to its appropriate translucency.
The radiopacity of the material was also rated “very good”, as heavily stained dentin may shine through the composite resin, if it is not blocked out with an opaque liner.
