To allow the distribution to colleagues of some useful and free dental fonts the GDPUK has launched a dental fonts download page. A Google search will inform dentists there are currently no other web pages of this type in existence.

In the UK, dentists have become used to using a hybrid notation such as UR7, UL1 to express the commonly used Palmer notation when communicating using a personal computer. These easy to install fonts will allow a dentist to use the notation they are familiar with easily on the PC. This part of the GDPUK site is fully and freely available, no registration is needed, dentists are invited to visit www.gdpuk.com/dentalfonts/

The DentaGraphics fonts created by John McCormack include carefully created fonts including tooth shapes, including orthodontic, endodontic and implant images, which are then resizeable and adjustable when used as a font within a document. Another font set is an open licence Palmer notation font developed by Mark Preston. The page also has a number of links and references to other font and dental notation resources.
