The 17th Annual BDO Profit Track 100 was published in the Sunday Times and ranks Britain’s private companies with the fastest growing profits.
The top 20 ranking can be attributed to a period of significant growth. In the last year alone, Oasis Dental Care, which now has more than 360 practices across the UK and Republic of Ireland, grew its practice network by 65 per cent. These acquisitions helped profits grow 99 per cent over the past three years.
Today, Oasis Dental Care is a major provider of NHS dental care, employing over 3,000 staff including 1,500 dentists. Patients are at the heart of the business and Oasis has delivered consistently high patient scores from its 2m patients across its practice network.
The company is active within the communities it serves and recently its practices nationally helped raise over £45,000 for local charities and Oasis’s charity partner, Bridge2Aid, which provides vital dental care in some of the poorest regions in Africa.
Central to the company’s ethos is a commitment to increasing access to affordable, quality dentistry and expanding choice. It has been championing clear transparent pricing, moving to single price points in most practices, as well as extended opening hours – with the majority of practices opening 8am to 7pm at least three days a week, many practices also open Saturdays and an increasing number extending to seven days a week.
Justin Ash, chief executive at Oasis Dental Care, commented: “Entering the top 20 of the Profit Track 100 is a great milestone for Oasis, and I cannot thank the staff, dentists and wider team enough. Everyone has worked extremely hard to get us to this enviable position.
“It has been another year of tremendous growth, driven both organically and through strategic mergers and acquisitions. I feel we have successfully achieved the ambition of making Oasis Dental Care the first national UK brand in dental care.”
