A new, dynamic logo is not the only change taking place, in what is proving to be a momentous year in KaVo’s history.

Following the integration of KaVo Kerr in January, a number of exciting developments are currently taking effect from the opening of a new UK-based showoom and training facility to the launch of the new Kavo imaging portfolio.

Integration of KaVo Kerr

In January 2017, the KaVo and the Kerr organisations, leading manufacturers of endodontics, restoratives, treatment units, infection prevention, imaging and rotary and instruments, began the reorganisation and integration of their commercial activities and services structure. The result is an improved range of clinical solutions with a faster and simpler ordering and consulting process.

KaVo Kerr is a cohesive organisation comprised of two global leaders, united to provide dental excellence and serve as a single premier partner for the dental community. KaVo Kerr operates with a common vision: inspiring and helping our customers, their patients and our own associates to realise their potential.

New UK office/showroom and training facility

KaVo Kerr is delighted to announce the opening of a new state-of-the-art showroom and training facility close to London Heathrow Airport. The facility provides the opportunity to showcase the full range of technologies from both KaVo and Kerr. The KaVo UK contact details are:

3 Furzeground Way, Stockley Park, Uxbridge, UB11 1EZ

Commenting on the new facility, Phil Ward, managing director of KaVo Kerr UK, said, ?KaVo UK had been established in Amersham, Bucks, for over 30 years so you can imagine that a re-location of this nature has taken some planning. The new facility offers a number of exciting opportunites. It is better designed to accomodate training for our channel partners, service network and end customers; very conveniently located close to major transport links; and allows us to integrate not only with our colleagues at sister company Nobel Biocare, but also each other‘s product ranges. It is more apparent than ever how our portfolios work together to create seamless solutions for the clinical teams we serve. We will be running a number of hands-on courses and events at the new premises over the coming months and look forward to welcoming you to Stockley Park.“

New KaVo logo

We are creating a new world of KaVo with a dynamic new brand identity.

After almost 100 years since the introduction of our previous logo in 1919, the new design, colour scheme and typeface demonstrates our commitment to a future-oriented workflow system and relevant innovations. Many of our communication materials have already been updated and you will see a gradual phase out of the old logo over the coming months.

Centre of excellence for repairs and customer service

Another significant development is the centralisation of the KaVo customer service and repair centre in the UK to the KaVo customer service and repair centre in Warthausen, Germany, to create one centre of excellence.

The aim is to improve the reaction times by moving the order processing and repair centre to our large location in Warthausen and provide a number of advantages to customers, such as:

  • a larger team of competent customer service specialists and technicians to share knowledge and thereby offer customers greater support
  • exceptional product knowledge to handle enquiries
  • the best possible repair quality straight from the KaVo manufacturing site
  • faster repairs with daily dispatch, including complimentary pick-up service directly from your head office/warehouse

Manager Customer Service EU for KaVo, Roland Reck, commented, “We are fully supporting the customer service and repair operations for the UK from our head office location in Germany and have members of the team dedicated to providing the expected levels of support to our UK customers. There will undoubtedly be challenges as we move through the transition process, as there is with any major change, but we are confident that we have the right processes in place to handle the enquiries and repairs efficiently and to the quality standards expected from KaVo.”

New KaVo imaging portfolio – available now

Another significant change for KaVo this year is the consolidation of our imaging brands. Gendex, Instrumentarium, Soredex and i-CAT have long stood side-by-side as part of our dental platform and are now uniting under one strong global brand: KaVo. From the first publication on panorama tomography by Instrumentarium in 1946, to the introduction of the GXDP-800, 2D/3D imaging device with Dose Reduction Technology from Gendex in 2015, these brands have over 350 years of combined experience, several million installed imaging products, local skills in over 120 countries and the expertise of thousands of specialists. All of which are being harnessed to create a world class imaging range.

From the KaVo OP 3D Pro, the professional three-in-one system for 2D, 3D and cephalometric imaging with up to five volumes and multilayer pan function, to the Scan Exam image plate system with superior image quality in all intraoral sizes (0 to 4C), scan times from as little as five seconds and UV Hygiene function for interior disinfection, the KaVo Imaging portfolio offers solutions to meet all your intraoral and extraoral 3D and 2D imaging requirements from a single source.
