{my}dentist has revealed the shortlist for its Excellence Awards 2022 which are set to be presented on October 14, 2022.
The annual awards recognise the outstanding individuals and teams whose commitment to patient care and professional development continues to raise standards at {my}dentist and across the sector. This year there were nearly 2,000 colleague nominations - the highest number in the history of the awards.
Winners of the 14 awards, which recognise clinicians, dental nurses, practice managers, TCOs and the field team, are set to be announced during a gala dinner on the first night of the {my}dentist Clinical Conference. The event has returned for the first time since 2019 and has had a record number of delegate registrations, and was fully booked more than three months early.
The theme of the event is ‘Energise Your Future’ and focuses on how dentists can build a career that is right for them following the changes in the industry due to Covid-19. Day one includes a day packed with keynote talks from dental industry leaders including Jason Wong MBE, Martin Woodrow, Ben Atkins, Professor Iain Chapple, Raj Rattan and Nyree Whitley, {my}dentist chief clinical officer and Tom Riall, {my}dentist chief executive.
Day two includes a full eight hours of free CPD with over 40 sessions for delegates to choose from. Meanwhile an exhibition runs throughout with the opportunity to network with sponsors such as Align Technology, DD, Carestream, Haleon, Philips and Straumann Group.
Nyree Whitley, chief clinical officer for {my}dentist said, “We are thrilled to be back with our Clinical Conference for the first time in three years. The demand for our event shows how much we have all missed meeting face-to-face and I am very much looking forward to seeing colleagues from across the industry and listening to some thought-provoking keynote talks.
“Our gala dinner is always a highlight of the year. Judging the nominations was incredibly tough and everyone on our shortlist should be rightly proud of all that they have achieved in the last year.”
