The partnership will see expert legal advice from Hempsons offered alongside arvato’s existing HR consultancy services for NHS clients. The joint service will provide HR teams with the support and expertise required to resolve complex employee cases faster and more effectively, and enable them to improve cost efficiency by eliminating unnecessary investigation time.
The partnership is set to kick-start with a series of free workshops for HR directors, covering the HR and employment law implications of new government policies. In addition, they will look at the integration of health and social care and new service models, as well as focussing on the future challenges for HR and practical implications of current strategies. The events series, titled ‘New Government, New NHS, New Workforce - Same Old Problems?’ will be held throughout June in London, Manchester, Harrogate and Newcastle.
Sally Campbell, director of health at arvato UK, commented: “By adding this expertise to our full range of HR consultancy we can meet the increasing demands of NHS organisations for a full and sophisticated employee relations service. We look forward to a collaborative relationship with Hempsons, combining our expertise and building new business together.”
Janice Barber, Head of Employment Law at Hempsons, said: “Our agreement with arvato is a positive step forward for both of us. Our services are well-suited to each other, and we think it is a good idea to join forces. Our clients often need support for their HR services without very much legal input. At the same time HR advice is often strengthened by having integral legal support. We think that it may be a way in which NHS bodies can access sophisticated HR advice with a legal backbone at a price they can afford.”
