Healthcare Learning offers an online MSc in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and is affiliated with the University of Manchester. As part of this new partnership, Tipton Training is able to fast track their alumni for Healthcare Learning’s MSc programme.
To qualify for referral, Tipton Training alumni will need to have completed one or more of the following courses: The Restorative Course, The Phantom Head Course, The Cosmetic and Aesthetic Course or The Implant Course. A new course stream starts in January 2017.
In addition to fast track referral, Tipton Training alumni are also eligible for a cash discount on course fees and are granted exemption to Healthcare Learning’s 12 residential days within the MSc programme.
Professor Paul Tipton, founder of Tipton Training, explained: “One of our objectives is to add value to our qualifications for the benefit of our delegates and alumni. Clearly this agreement with Healthcare Learning is an example of this thinking. We’re excited at the new opportunities that this partnership will create for our course attendees.
“What’s especially useful about this partnership is the fact that Tipton Training delegates can actually spend more time treating their patients in their own practices, rather than attending residential days. Healthcare Learning understand that our alumni will have received plenty of practical experience on Tipton Training courses.”
This agreement follows the already established educational partnership between Tipton Training and the City of London Dental School, which has a greater focus on the practical elements of restorative dentistry and implantology.
The partnership with the City of London Dental School means that successful completion of Tipton Training’s dentistry courses can lead to delegates being accepted into the third year of either the MClinDent Restorative and Cosmetic degree, or the MClinDent Dental Implantology degree.
“It’s our affiliation with the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry (BARD), along with the British Academy of Dental Implantology (BADI), that allows our delegates to fast track onto the MClinDent degrees,” explains Paul.
“I’d like to think Tipton Training has been proactive in giving young dentists the skills they need to have a successful career. That’s why we’re extremely pleased to have a partnership with both The City of London Dental School and Healthcare Learning.”
The MClinDent master’s is a clinically based qualification which is perfect for candidates looking to make strides within both clinical practice and academia. It’s especially useful for those looking to establish their own private practices.
