The dental profession is constantly evolving, always on the search for new ways to streamline diagnostics, improve patient comfort, and save time. When it comes to high-tech equipment and technology for complex procedures, new digital innovations revolutionise the way clinicians work. The use of digital devices has changed the diagnostic process considerably with the introduction of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), as well as intraoral scanners, CADCAM technology and 3D printers. But when it comes to the day-to-day, transitioning to a streamlined digital workflow could make a huge difference for the dentist and their patient.
Creating a treatment plan
When deciding what equipment you may need to improve your workflow, it is useful to create a ‘treatment plan’ for your practice as you would for your patients. Upgrading everything, all at once, could be overwhelming for many members of staff - not to mention expensive. Creating a clear path and incorporating different equipment and technology step by step will help you reach your goals smoothly, and will be more financially realistic.
