The award was presented to Dental Confidence for its effective use of new technology to improve efficiency, levels of service and the quality of the end product.
The ‘Best Use of Technology Award’ category, designed to applaud the organisations that have exceeded the expectations of their customers, was awarded to Dental Confidence for its state of the art facilities, Cone Beam Scanning equipment, in-house laboratory, and 3D surgery planning software.
The award also follows the news earlier this month that Peter Sanders - the lead implantologist and clinical director of Dental Confidence- was the first in the UK to perform intraoral welding, an advanced technique that enables the immediate loading of a fixed prosthesis to be supported by an intra-orally welded titanium framework.
So far, only a handful of dental implantologists in the world have received the specialist training that allows them to practice the Intraoral Welding technique.
Peter explains, “Technology is an incredibly important aspect of dental implantology and the procedure of placing dental implants is continually improving through its advances. At Dental Confidence, we have always aimed to provide long lasting customer satisfaction by embracing the right technology to allow us to work with great precision and accuracy.”
Special guest speaker RT Hon Michael Portillo presented the award to Dental Confidence, whilst the business community across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight came together to applaud the outstanding achievements of each of the eight award winners and finalists.
The South Coast Business Awards judges said, “Dental Confidence particularly impressed the judges with their outstanding commitment to the use of technology. The significant investment that has been made in state of the art equipment, to ensure that procedures can be conducted with minimum complexity, pain and treatment time, demonstrated a real commitment to providing a service that exceeds the expectations of their clients and ensures the highest quality end product, which has resulted in strong business growth and exciting expansion plans.”
“This is a fantastic accolade for us,” continues Dr Sanders, “Technology is such an integral part of so many businesses in the South, and the strength of this year’s other three finalists in our category really showed this. We are delighted to be the winner of such a competitive award and will continue to remain up-to-date with the technological advances in our industry to ensure we provide the best possible results for all of our patients.”
