The show, which takes place on Saturday, July 6, in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, is designed to cater for dentists who have made the move into independent practice, or are in the process of doing so, and want expert advice.
It also offers dentists, and dental technicians, a great opportunity to meet national and international suppliers and get up close with the latest technological innovations.
Among the companies that will be attending will be Aura Infection Control – a UK leader in hygiene products and cross-contamination control.
Managing director, Laura Edgar, will be on hand to give delegates the benefit of her expertise and advice on how to comply with regulatory requirements.
Among the topics likely to be discussed are Aura's unique Compliance Club, which helps dental practices stay on top of their decontamination auditing.
Laura said, "We know we are at the forefront of efforts to help dental practices meet their statutory obligations regarding infection control processes. Our technology exceeds the statutory minimums and our expertise helps dentists get the very best from it.
“We will be hosting the decontamination challenge – throwing down the gauntlet to dental care professionals to put their knowledge the test.
“To make things a bit more fun we will be giving out prizes for the highest scores throughout the day.”
Aura recently launched the UK's first dental decontamination course aimed at teaching delegates the best industry-standard methods of cross-infection control.
Laura continued, "When we heard about an exciting new show in Cardiff, I knew we had to take our message to the delegates. All dental practices now have registered dental care professionals whose job it is to work to the new regulatory framework and within the purview of the Quality Care Commission.
“That’s why we set-up a two-day course to take dental professionals step-by-step through the most effective cross-contamination processes and the most effective way to implement them."
The course has already proved to be a huge hit with dentists and dental care professionals alike who have attended Aura’s purpose-built decontamination suite at its headquarters in Barnard Castle, County Durham.
“Our course gives delegates hands-on experience using the very latest water treatment devices, sterilizers and reprocessing devices,” explained Laura. “And although the courses are proving very popular, I want to spread the knowledge as far and wide as possible.
"We can't cover everything from the course at the show, but I am hoping to give visiting professionals the information they need to make an informed decision about the processes they need for their own dental practices."
As well as giving visitors the benefit of her expertise a team of Aura specialists will also be on hand to discuss any issues dental professionals may wish to discuss throughout the day.
