The advanced clear aligner system to correct dental malocclusions and restore functional alignment features Smilers for general practitioners and Smilers Expert for orthodontists. From February 2025, Smilers and Smilers Expert will be available through Henry Schein and Optident in the UK.
Backed by over 10 years of dental research and experience, Smilers and Smilers Expert clear aligners have been designed to help deliver advanced orthodontic care, providing dental professionals with a cutting-edge orthodontic system and customised treatment set-ups to help enhance treatment outcomes. Practitioners can choose from different aligner thicknesses.
Tom Popeck, chief executive officer for Henry Schein’s Healthcare Specialties Group, said, “We are thrilled to present Smilers and Smilers Expert, a high-quality and innovative clear aligner solution that aims to empower dental professionals to deliver high-end orthodontic care while providing patients with an exceptional treatment experience.”
Smilers and Smilers Expert are powered by the NemoCast software suite from Nemotec, a company that develops digital solutions for the dental sector at a national and international level. NemoCast is a cloud and web-based solution for treatment visualisation and diagnosis support in digital orthodontics that helps to increase efficiency, precision, and effectiveness in orthodontic treatment delivery.
With the smile set-up software, Smilers Expert orthodontists can directly modify multiple aspects of the treatment plan, including the timeline for each tooth, at each aligner step.
Smilers and Smilers Experts also bring a range of benefits for patients. The clear aligners are crafted using advanced 3D stereolithography impression technology, resulting in a smoother surface that helps maintain transparency throughout the treatment. The design also includes a cut along the dental neck and a hand-polished finish to enhance comfort during wear.
The aligners are manufactured in France for the EMEA market (Europe, Middle East, Africa) to minimise the carbon footprint associated with product delivery. The manufacturing facility has also established eco-friendly methods such as reducing environmental waste sent to landfills and using solar panels for the manufacturing facility.
