These courses were at A-dec’s head office in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This industry leading, two day certification course demonstrates A-dec’s commitment to dentistry by ensuring all A-dec certified engineers are trained to a high level, to competently work on your medical device, as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
During this course, they undertook a series of practical hands-on tests including fault finding, installation and servicing, along with a number of theory based elements. The purpose of this course was to ensure all technicians who successfully completed the exam would be officially certified to install, repair, maintain and service all A-dec equipment. This two year certification permits technicians to maintain your A-dec medical devices in line with CQC outcome 11, and is the only official route to access genuine A-dec spare parts.
Dave Robinson, A-dec UK’s Head of Technical Training said: “A-dec’s Certified Technician course is our commitment to dentistry. We wanted to form a national standard that A-dec end users would understand, recognise and be reassured to know that any maintenance, repair or installation would be carried out in line with A-dec factory standards. As part of this certification, the dental team can also be safe in the knowledge that any replacement or service parts used will be genuine A-dec spare parts.”
The dental team are encouraged to look out over the coming months for the national advertising campaign which highlights the network of A-dec certified technicians. This campaign also encourages end users to ask to see their technicians’ card before any work is carried out on their A-dec medical devices.
