The company, which is headquartered in Silsden, West Yorkshire, produces a groundbreaking dental product called ‘EthOss’ - a material that encourages new bone growth during dental implant procedures.
Turnover has increased for an eighth consecutive year since the flagship product was launched in 2015, following the company’s launch ten years ago by world-renowned dental implantologist Peter Fairbairn and biomaterials expert Paul Harrison.
The firm has also expanded its headcount to 13 during the 2022/23 financial year (a 30 per cent increase) and invested in new product development and regulatory approvals around the globe, as well as hosting training and education events in locations including Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Already, EthOss operates in more than 65 countries worldwide, increasing its export markets by more than 60 per cent over the last five years to include Australia, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Sweden.
Peter Wheeler, MD of EthOss, said, “We’re pleased to report we’re ending 2023 with another consecutive year of growth, expanding our team and moving closer towards regulatory approval in even more new export markets around the world.
“We’ve grown fast from a small start-up, disrupting the dentistry implant market, to an established leader with a presence in more than 65 countries and a growing team, and we’re very proud of all we’ve achieved.
“However, we’re not ones to rest on our laurels, and we’re looking forward to an even more ambitious 2024 with the prospect of announcing new product developments, customer initiatives and new markets in the months to come.”
EthOss has also invested further in its sustainability work this year, achieving ISO:14001 status in recognition of its environmental management systems, which include installing solar panels and an electric car charging point at its head office.
It’s donated more than £15,000 to causes, including the National Autistic Society, FareShare, Action Medic and Home Start, and taken part in charitable events, including Women V Cancer Ride the Night in Manchester throughout the year.
Peter added, “Ensuring we operate as sustainably as possible and that we give back to important causes and communities is vitally important to our team.
“It’s a key area of focus for us as we move into the new year, and we’re excited to see what fundraising activity we can take part in over the next 12 months.”
