The Dental Wellness Trust hopes that dentists will get behind the campaign by buying Good:Deed toothbrushes and selling them to their patients. For every toothbrush bought, Henry Schein Cares will give another brush to a child in need who normally has no access to a toothbrush or to any routine dental care.
The Dental Wellness Trust’s work concentrates on providing both children and the elderly with proper access to dental care and oral health education in deprived areas of the UK and abroad. It has a particular focus in South Africa, a country in which 80 per cent of children suffer from some form of tooth decay.
Henry Schein Cares is proud to support the work of The Dental Wellness Trust in providing children and the elderly a chance to live a healthy life, free from the pain of decay and in promoting preventive measures to save future generations from having to suffer dental health problems.
As an international initiative, Henry Schein Cares seeks to ‘help health happen’ by expanding access to care for at-risk and underserved populations globally through its focus on three areas: wellness, prevention, treatment and education; emergency preparedness and relief; and building capacity in the training of professionals and the delivery of health care services.
