BioMin Technologies recently signed an exclusive UK distribution agreement with Trycare and CEO Richard Whatley will be on hand to explain the technical benefits of BioMinF and offer samples to dental professionals.
Developed from research undertaken at Queen Mary University of London and Imperial College, toothpastes containing BioMinF slowly release calcium, phosphate and fluoride ions over an eight to 12 hour timeframe to form fluorapatite mineral to rebuild, strengthen and protect tooth structure. It is more effective than conventional toothpastes where the fluoride content is washed away through salivary flow and become ineffective less than two hours after brushing.
“BioMinF makes teeth far more resistant to attack from acidic beverages like fruit juices and fizzy drinks,” says Richard Whatley.
The technology behind BioMin can also be incorporated in other professionally applied dental products such as cleaning and polishing pastes, varnishes and remineralising filling materials.
