Worth 6.5 hours of verifiable CPD, with ‘Basic Botox’ delegates can expect to learn how to treat the three areas most commonly requested by patients – the forehead (frontalis), frown lines (glabellar) and eyes (lateral canthal lines).
Offering support before, during and after the workshop, you can be sure that everything will be in place to allow you to concentrate on treating facial aesthetic patients.
Dentist Helen Christie shares her experience of expanding into non-surgical facial aesthetic treatment:
1. What motivated you to learn about facial aesthetics?
I have been qualified as a dentist for over 20 years, and was looking for some variety and a further challenge for my career.
2. How do you see it fitting in with the dental side of your skill-set and practice?
It is clear that dentistry is becoming more cosmetic focused and therefore, to me, facial aesthetics seemed a natural extension of my skills.
3. What inspired you to attend a Botox Training Club event as opposed to other course out there, and which did you choose?
I chose to train with Dr Harry Singh as I had many good recommendations from colleagues. His courses seemed good value for money in a competitive world! I started with the ‘Basic Botox’ course, which taught me about its use for the forehead, frown lines and around the eyes.
4. What did you learn?
In addition to great hands-on sessions, I gained invaluable advice to help me set up the facial aesthetics side of my business within my practice, as well as within the hair and beauty industry.
5. How did you find the course?
The course was very enjoyable, the atmosphere relaxed and the teaching groups small.
6. What was the first facial aesthetics treatment you performed and how was it for you and the patient?
On the course I learned about basic Botox and filler treatments. I was very apprehensive at first, as this was something totally new to me but Harry was very supportive. My patients were more relaxed than I was and happy with their treatment.
7. What advice would you offer dentists considering expanding their skill-set into facial aesthetics?
It takes a lot of time and energy to launch into facial aesthetics, but it is great to have something totally different to do. It can be very rewarding and I would highly recommend it. Harry has given me great support and encouragement.
8. What's next for you in terms of facial aesthetics?
I am happy to be expanding my client list and am now seeing repeat clients coming back.
I am also offering sessions at a skin and laser treatment clinic, as well as at beauticians’ premises; I love going to a different environment to work for a couple of hours and have made some great friends. Life feels good!
