Even with more than 13 years’ experience in implant dentistry, Silvia Hamer continues to prioritise her education and is always looking for new ways to enhance the clinical results she can achieve with her patients.
She says, “Effective management of the soft tissues around dental implants is crucial for both the long-term survival of the implant and the aesthetic result of treatment. I therefore sought to enhance my skills in this area with professional training.”
There is a vast range of training courses and providers in the dental market today, so selecting the right one for you is crucial. Silvia decided to further her skills with a colleague she trusted to deliver the highest calibre of teaching and support.
“I chose the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course with BPI Dental Education & Training, because I had originally completed my first surgical implant training with Boota Singh Ubhi. He had been my mentor in the field for many years, so I knew he was very knowledgeable and I had seen how good he was clinically.”
The Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants programme offers comprehensive training in avoiding and managing soft tissue complications around implants. It covers several plastic periodontal surgical techniques to help delegates optimise long-term aesthetics for their patients.
“The course was excellent,” continues Silvia. “Enough theory was explored to facilitate thorough and well-supported practical work, giving an in-depth clinical experience. It was perfect for clinicians who have been placing implants for a while, helping us advance our skills while consolidating and applying what we already knew to new techniques and treatment approaches.
“The amount of hands-on experience was something that I found particularly impressive. This was complemented perfectly by the huge variety of materials and instruments provided for training – this was the best selection I have seen on a course for some time! Mr Ubhi had thought of everything, and I take my hat off to him for that! In fact, Mr Ubhi was outstanding throughout training. He was very humble and I never felt embarrassed to ask a question or share any doubts I may have had during the programme.”
Considering how the training has impacted her implant dentistry in practice and whether she would recommend it to others, Silvia adds, “The Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course with BPI Dental Education & Training gave me the skills and the confidence to improve my clinical work. In particular, I feel better able to evaluate cases for enhanced soft tissue management. It renewed my enthusiasm and passion for what I do!
“In general, it was an excellent course that really had that ‘wow’ factor – even the venue and food were both very good. There was also a good atmosphere, which made the learning very enjoyable. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their soft tissue management around implants!”
There are only a few remaining 2021 dates with availability for the Soft Tissue Around Dental Implants course with BPI Dental Education & Training – book soon to avoid disappointment.
