A modular approach

A new approach to gaining a management qualification for practice managers and DCPs has been launched by UMD Professional. The nationally recognised Institute of Leadership and Management Certificates and Diplomas in Management can now be studied in modular format to allow for the greatest possible flexibility over when each module is studied, and giving the students greater control over their studying.

With this approach managers and DCPs can choose to study individual modules over a longer period of time and gain a management qualification through a building block approach.

‘We know that managers and DCPs are becoming increasingly busy and that it can be difficult to fit studying over an extended period around work commitments and family life,’  said Fiona Stuart-Wilson of UMD Professional. ‘We decided to introduce this modular route to gaining a respected management qualification to provide greater accessibility and to allow  people to be able to study at their own pace. With more managers and DCPs funding their own training, it also has the advantage of making the qualifications more affordable as each module is studied on a pay-as-you-go basis.’
