Following a £600,000 investment, Dumfries Dental Clinic and Implant Centre has moved from 27 Castle Street to its new home 100 metres away at 195 High Street. This relocation and investment by Scottish Dental Care will enable the clinic to more than double its patient capacity, increasing treatment rooms from four to six and building on the already strong 1200 NHS patient list alongside its substantial private and dental plan patient numbers.

The clinic will now offer the latest technology, including an iTero scanner and a CBCT scanner to capture precise 3D imagery of the mouth as an alternative to traditional dental moulds – a procedure which had previously left patients travelling to Edinburgh or Glasgow to access.

The clinic is set to grow its NHS list whilst bringing innovative cosmetic dentistry under its advanced dentistry brand to this part of Scotland for the first time.

Philip Friel, the founder of Scottish Dental Care, who has personally overseen the transformation of this new practice, said, "The opportunity to bring stylish, welcoming and modern dental facilities to Dumfries and Galloway has been a top priority for the company.

“Delivering the additional new services to this vibrant area is exciting for Scottish Dental Care, as we continue to progress with our mission of providing best-in-class dental solutions throughout Scotland and beyond. We recognise the life-changing effects of great dental care and feel proud to be bringing this to an area of Scotland that has previously been underserved when compared to the larger cities. We are fully committed to the area and the continued delivery of both NHS and private dentistry.’’

Lynn Hood, newly appointed chief executive of Scottish Dental Care, commented, "Phil’s vision for dentistry provision is refreshing! The recognition that dental services are considered from the patient’s perspective, where comfort, experience and a range of dental services are offered in a safe and modern environment. These are just some of the reasons why Phil has amassed such a following for his dental expertise throughout the 20-strong portfolio of clinics we already have throughout Scotland.’’

The team at Dumfries Dental Clinic and Implant Centre will remain the same, and Scottish Dental Care are positive that new dentists will want to join and enjoy delivering dental expertise in these new modern facilities.
