Dental Stock X-Change, an online marketplace, brought dentists and their local community together and raised £2k for The Princess Alice Hospice.

On a sunny evening local dentists and surrounding communities were brought together for the first ‘Sarahs Smile Foundation’ Masquerade ball.

The event, which was held at the Oatlands Park Hotel in Weybridge was a great success. On the night the guests took part in fundraising games, a charity raffle and an auction where attendees could bid on some amazing items, including a four day stay on a glamorous yacht. Many of the raffle and auction prizes were kindly donated by local businesses and some of the dentists also contributed, such as Karen Gangotra from Smilessence in East Molesey, Chig Amin of Epsom Dental Centre, Ian Broderick of Horton Dental Practice and Jon Lee from Dental Elements in Leatherhead.

Founder of Dental Stock X-Change and Sarah’s Smile Foundation, Louise Finn commented: “I would like to thank all guests and contributors to our first event in aid of The Princess Alice Hospice, who deserve all the support we can give them. They did an amazing job looking after my friend before she passed away and they continue to support her family. It was also a great opportunity for dentists and potential patients to meet in a fun social environment”.

The Princess Alice Hospice is a charity providing all patient care and support free of charge. They give outstanding end of life care to adult patients, and support to their families and friends across a large part of Surrey. Each year they need £8m and with only 24 per cent coming from the NHS, fundraising and community support are crucially important to their continued work as a charity.
