A willing quartet of runners from recently took part in business advisory firm Cooper Parry’s annual ‘10K Business Team Challenge’.

An annual event, now in its fourth year, the Challenge is a regular fixture for businesses across the East Midlands. The Dentisan team, including Bob Newsome (Commercial Director), Andy Corley (Managing Director) who along with Richard Brenda and Tony Mee (Technical Support), joined 92 others for the event, which Cooper Parry encourages firms to use as a way to promote a healthier lifestyle within the workplace as well as raise money for charity.

93 businesses from across the East Midlands took part in the race (a record for the Challenge), raising over £25k in total for various charities, including the Stroke Association and Sporting Futures. The Dentisan team ran in aid of the NSPCC and would like those within the dental industry, including Henry Schein Dental, who supported their efforts with donations.

Of the total 93 teams, Team Dentisan came a very respectable 30th and Commercial Director Bob Newsome was satisfied with their efforts: “Andy and I play squash regularly, so we are pretty fit, but running 10k is a bit different. It was just great to take part in an event like this from a team-building perspective and also to be able to raise some much needed funds for this worthwhile charity.”
