In a prestigious ceremony that took place on March 17, in The Library at the Royal College of Surgeons, the Association of Dental Groups (ADG) was pleased to present the coveted Bursary Awards to this year’s winners.
“It’s an enormous pleasure to welcome everyone to the fourth year of our Awards scheme,” said David Worskett, chair of the ADG.
For the postgraduate category, a bursary of £3,000 was presented to Kalpesh Prajapat – half of which will be used to support the effective delivery of his project.
When asked about his plans, he said, “I aim to produce a unique, free oral health app for young children, featuring evidence-based information and motivational game-play to motivate children with their oral hygiene.”
Cash prizes were also bestowed to the winner and runners up of the undergraduate ‘Professionalism’ classification, with the gold award given to Christina Tran, the silver to Michael Orlans and the bronze to Daniel Anderson.
The ADG is proud to award these individuals for their hard work and ingenuity and wishes them all the best with their work moving forward.
